Need story ideas? How about a profile of your favorite high school player? Or a season preview of your local college team? Maybe you want to write an essay on what women's basketball means to you? Are you a "pioneer" of women's basketball and want to share your experiences? Want to share coaching tips or talk about the view of a game from a referee's perspective? Perhaps you think you're the next Mechelle Voepel?
1. Articles are submitted on a voluntary basis - writers are not paid a fee.
2. Articles are expected to be a minimum of 350 words.
3. Inappropriate content such as profanity, pornography, promotion of violence against a person or group, derogatory terms, inflammatory commentary, etc. will not be accepted. Material must be appropriate for readers of all ages and backgrounds.
4. Articles must be focused on basketball - any level (youth, high school, college and professional).
5. Links to other websites may accompany article, but must be either related to the article's content or the author in some way and meet the standards outlined in #3.
6. Articles must be submitted in English and adhere to commonly accepted standards of grammar, punctuation, etc. (e.g. "you" not "u"; minimal use of slang; standard capitalization)
7. Author may choose whether to have their email address included with article for reader comments.
8. Author may choose to use an alias such as a screenname. Must meet the guidelines specified in #3.
9. Photos may be included with article. They should be of good, clear quality and the copyright holder should either be you or someone you know who has given permission (no AP photos, photos taken from websites without permission, etc.). I reserve the right to resize and rename them as appropriate. I will also decide placement if none is specified. They should also meet guidelines specified in #3.
Note: I reserve the right to reject any article or photos for any reason whatsoever.
