What playing college basketball means to me:
Playing at the next level with numerous advantages that everyone does not get to experience. Not only is it fun and something I love to play, but it also teaches life lessons that can be applied in the real-world.
What I expected college basketball to be:
An intense level of play with a lot of dedication and competition.
What it really is:
A competitive sport that can be fun and business at the same time, and it is a lot of dedication and hard work to accomplish what you want.
Advice I would give to someone wanting to play basketball in college:
It is an experience of a life time, but you need to be committed and expect a lot of hard work out of yourself.
Why I love playing basketball:
It is something I have played since I was a little kid and playing at the next level was my dream. It is competitive and becoming close to my teammates is unforgettable.
The women’s player that’s most fun to watch right now is...
Having the opportunity to play professional basketball after college...
A dream come true, but before that college basketball gives me the opportunity to go pro.
I'd go crazy on a road trip without...
My phone.
A teammate (past or present) that I’ve been the most inspired by is (and why)...
Micah Harvey, because she was a hard worker, and great player on and off the court. She had adversity to overcome during her life, but she didn’t interfere with her game.
Three things I'd like to do before I die...
Help find the cure for cancer, have a nice house with kids and a husband, and go to another country besides Belize and Mexico.
Why academics are important to me...
You can’t rely of playing basketball for your whole life, so getting good grades and being able to finish your major you will be able to pursue your career in something else besides sports.
An aspect of my game that I'd really like to improve is...
Being more aggressive and get better on defense.
