I love sharing my passion with others who are interested in reaching their full potential.
What I expected coaching basketball to be:
I expected coaching basketball to be a lot of fun first of all, and a lot of instruction. Now days players are not learning the fundamentals of the game at the high school level.
What it really is:
Coaching is really mentoring, being a positive role model, and an educator.
Advice I would give to an aspiring basketball coach:
I would tell them to have patience, know that a championship team is not built over night, and major in psychology because there are a lot of head games.
Why I love basketball:
I love basketball because it is an exciting game. You can learn and teach life skills through the game. It can be a fast or slow paced game.
